Whether you are a shipper or Logistics Service Provider, transportation requirements are always unique to the specific conditions your company operates in. mmx logistics provides consultancy and interim management without making up front assumptions.
mmx logistics specialises in the "crossing point" of Logistics and IT. Whether a project is in scoping, software selection or development or implementation phase, mmx logistics helps bridge gaps between the IT and Logistics domains.
You have your TMS, collect a lot of data. But what now? The aim of mmx logistics is to unleash your potential, uncovered from the specific unique conditions you operate under. mmx logistics applies advanced analytics and then defines realistic actions that will result in sustainable improvement.
Cost reduction is not the goal, but the result of network sourcing. Transportation sourcing matches the shippers requirements to the networks of carriers. Both are dynamic, your documented requirements are outdated before your tender is finished. mmx logistics helps establish sustainable, cost effective customer-supplier relations.

Leadership across all transportation modes:
Global Small parcel: ran a small parcel sourcing project for a global Automotive
and Aerospace manufacturer; delivering multi-million cost reduction.
Automotive network redesign: revised the European distribution for the truck and trailer
market. The project involved the analysis, sourcing and implementation of a leaner network solution.
Terminal sourcing and consolidation: ran a complex ocean terminal tender, serving breakbulk
and container handling, as well as on-carriage loading (truck, train, barge, container, bulk).
The complexity involved the balancing of the total logistics cost: direct cost, service and
(load&discharge) speed, capabilities, ocean sailing distance, on-carriage options and costs.
To handle the many parameters, we developed a Decision Support Tool; executed a tender and
implemented the recommended solution.
Restructured EMEA transportation organisation: the organisation, responsible
for sourcing and transportation execution improvement projects, was restructured
to become a high performing team, delivering cost, cash and performance improvement
solutions for locations throughout the EMEA (Europe Middle-East and Africa) region.
The team also supported the startup of new locations in Saudi Arabia and Africa.
TMS and Freight Audit implementation: the project for a leading global Aerospace
supplier paid back before the implementation completed, by uncovering inefficiencies while
the project was still in full force (a concious approach to identify and secure "quick wins").
Shortsea industrial shipping solution: the project for a large metals company
concerned a highly complex solution. The project scope involed a multi-site,
multi-transport mode, and multi-million spend environment. The project spanned
the redesign of the distrbution network, sourcing the solution and implementation.
The project delivered substantial cost reduction in the transportation spend, as
well as an improvement in service.
Analytics and transportation planning optimisation: supporting an upcoming logistics
software company in various planning and analytics projects. Project management, product development and
business development.
