About

mmx logistics is the company of Marcel Merkx: logistics entrepreneur, imagineer, applied physicist by training. He founded it in April 2016 to work where logistics and IT meet, after a long career in international leadership roles across IT, procurement and logistics at a blue-chip global manufacturer.

One of the projects in this yard was Cargosnap. It turned out to be the big one. Marcel now runs it full time as founder and CEO, and mmx logistics mostly keeps the lights on and the stack tidy.

Cargosnap

Cargosnap started in this yard as an mmx logistics project: an app and platform that makes supply chain visibility literal, with photos and data from the dock, the yard and the road. It grew up, shipped out, and took Marcel along as founder and CEO. If you were looking for him, he is probably over there.

Scoping, software selection, development and implementation. Translating between the logistics people and the IT people, in both directions.

Data analysis

Turning the data piling up in a TMS into realistic actions and improvement that lasted.

Transport sourcing

Matching shippers' requirements to carrier networks, both of which kept moving. Lower cost followed from sustainable customer and supplier relations.
